Megaflexon has successfully manufactured and delivered a total of 4 L-Type Pressure Balanced Metal Expansion Joints to the NGATAMARIKI geothermal power plant in New Zealand.

The L-Type Pressure Balanced Metal Expansion Joint manufactured this time is 56 inches in diameter and 5832 mmL in length, and is mounted on the turbine unit of a power plant.

For the Bellows, which are the main parts of the Expansion Joint, UNS No. S32100 material was used, ASTM A516 Gr 70 for pipe and ASTM A516 Gr 70 for hardwares.

NGATAMARIKI is a new binary geothermal power plant located about 17 kilometers northeast of Taupo, New Zealand and it operates 4 Ormat Energy Converter (OEC) turbine units, generating 84 MW of electricity, providing enough power for 80,000 households.
